Jewish Art: Envisioning Homeland
Wednesday, January 10
6:00 p.m. Pacific Time via Zoom
Presented by John Paul Thornton
Inspired Jewish artists of the twentieth century created paintings and sculptures that anticipated peace, community, and hope. Even as bloodshed and war challenged their commitment, their art remains a testament to the vision of what the Holy Land represents. John Paul Thornton has been teaching about Jewish art for a decade. Its depth and relevance has never been greater. Together, we will explore vibrant, emotional artworks from the Tel Aviv Museum and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
