“I do believe we’re all connected. I do believe in positive energy. I do believe in the power of prayer. I do believe in putting good out into the world. And I believe in taking care of each other.” – Harvey Fierstein

Created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, The National Day of Prayer – held annually on the first Thursday of May – invites people of all faiths to pray for the nation. Honor this day with popular San Francisco Bay Area instructor James Sokol’s exploration of songs – from Broadway, pop, opera and more – that are musical prayers. Audio & video clips bring the music into our celebration!
