Hanukkah Cards and Recipes

Pipe Cleaner Hanukkah Cards

SUPPLIES

• Assorted pipe cleaners
• Hot glue gun
• Scissors
• Assorted cardstock or construction paper
• Optional: Stickers, glitter glue

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Fold a piece of cardstock or construction paper in half as the base of your card.
  2. For the menorah design, twist two pipe cleaners together (they don’t have to be
the same color). Cut the pipe cleaner into thirds or quarters, based on desired
candle length. To make the candle flame, cut some yellow or orange pipe
cleaners into small chunks and glue “flames” to candles. Now make the shamash
candle, then assemble the candles on the card before hot gluing them into place.
Complete the menorah by adding a pipe cleaner base.
  3. For the Star of David design, twist two pipe cleaners together to create a
triangle shape and repeat steps with a second pair of pipe cleaners. Stack both
triangles one on top of another to shape a Star of David. Glue together, then glue
    to the card.
  4. For the dreidel design, twist 2 pipe cleaners together and shape them into a
dreidel before gluing to a card. Cut out small pieces of pipe cleaners to add the
Hebrew letters to the dreidels. Here are the Hebrew letters: (נ) nun, (ג) gimel, (ה)
    (hei), (ש) shin.
  5. Send the cards to family and friends to wish them a Happy Hanukkah!
